The Living Page: An 8-Week Craft Intensive for Writers Ready to Deepen Their Work
Friday, July 10th - Thursday, September 3rd
This program is only open to those who were registered and took The Steady Writer course. If you did not take that course but are interested in this one, or TSW, please email us at christine@amindfulwriter.com.
The Living Page is an 8-week literary craft intensive designed for writers who want to move beyond surface-level writing advice and develop a more intentional relationship with their work. Together, we’ll study the foundational elements that shape powerful writing across genres—character, setting, perspective, conflict, theme, imagery, symbolism, and more—while actively applying those concepts to your own creative work each week.
This course is part literary study, part creative practice, and part workshop space. It is built for writers who want to think more deeply about what they are creating and why it works. Whether you write fiction, memoir, essays, poetry, or hybrid work, this course will help you strengthen the emotional and structural layers of your writing while building greater confidence in your artistic voice.
You will leave with:
A deeper understanding of literary craft across genres
Stronger critical awareness of your own writing
More confidence in revision and artistic decision-making
New writing generated throughout the course
Practical tools for strengthening emotional resonance and thematic depth
A more intentional and sustainable relationship to your creative practice
What’s Included
8 weeks of literary craft instruction
Weekly live Zoom sessions (90 minutes)
Weekly emailed lessons and assignments
Required reading selections and recommended reading lists
Guided discussion and reflection
Workshop-style feedback and community conversation
Writing prompts and application exercises connected directly to your own work
